PTM has an entry level opportunity for a candidate who wishes to develop a career path in the industrial distribution field.
In broad terms, the associate will be responsible for Operations functions – shipping / receiving, order fulfillment, logistics, distribution centre maintenance and management, and Inside sales functions - Answering calls from customers, providing pricing, technical product support and quotations and promoting the company’s full product line.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have strong computer literacy and working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (including ability to learn or practical experience with computerized sales/inventory systems)
- Be able to partner effectively with others, foster teamwork and cooperation
- Have good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Have an outgoing personality. Maintains a consistent, positive, upbeat attitude
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Be service-oriented, have customer service experience and customer-focused
- ‘Hands on’ and flexible enough to consider no task or function too small for their involvement
- Speak French as a second language (though not essential)
- An interest in, or technical / educational knowledge of industrial distribution, power transmission component design, repair, engineering or manufacturing is helpful.
