The Stafford Manufacturing Corp. standard product offering consists of over 4,000 shaft collars, rigid shaft couplings, and specialty mechanical components.

 

Jaw-Type

Due to their inherent simplicity, Jaw Couplings remain one of the most widely used elastomer couplings in the world. Two identical hubs with 3 face lugs are connected through a, insert (star shaped element, sometimes referred to as a spider). The three-piece design makes jaw-type couplers easy to work with and popular on applications: pumps, fans, compressors, and blowers.

Since they require no lubrication, they provide high reliability for light- to medium-duty applications with good alignment of equipment and they do not require torsional dampening.

In normal operating conditions, there is no metal-to-metal contact, making the life of the hubs virtually indefinite.

Jaw couplings are resistant to oil, dirt, moisture and grease.

Clamp-Type Couplings are available in straight-through or stepped bores. Precision machined, they are non-marring, easy to adjust, and offer a high clamping power.

  • Steel
  • Stainless Steel
  • Aluminum

Clamp-Type Couplings are available in three styles:

  • High Strength: Clamp screw does not protrude beyond the outside diameter
  • Low Profile: Clamp screw protrudes beyond the outside
  • Heavy Duty: Uses larger clamp screw and has larger outside diameter for 2X holding power
